37/365

So here is another one of the tragic toys. These things are just so wierd, however it is nice to photograph. They don't move and you can grab them from just about any angle. How would you feel to have nails as eyes? I think it would be quite strange. However I often feel like I have nails in my eyes or junk pouring out of my brain. I have one toy left for next week. Although I do not have the whole collection these 6 have been a great controbution to the 365 day project. I really hope I don't get behind again on posting. I am all caught up for now. Happy Wednsday

36/365 I am 29 years old

I think this is the last round of vegitables from our garden this year. I pulled the lettace and cucumber plants because they were dieing last night. I have two bowls filled with Tomatoes. I think I am going to make a couple casoroles for my company this weekend, and Justin and I. Oh yeah it is also my birthday. I am 28 years old. I was able to celebrate with my family, yesterday with Justin, and this weekend with my friends Dan and Andrea. Dan has the same birthday as me!!!

35/365 the Nothing

This is a Monday, and how I felt, like nothing and why do I have to be up existing after a wonderful weekend with my family and friends. I feel blessed today, but I don't want to hang out in the world outside the house right now. However, as an adult one must go to work and make a place in the world to pay bills and live comfortably for their entire life. This is what I must to now. Grr Monday. At this there is some color on the edges of the photo, the day may just get better.

34/365

This was the last weekend and day of the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival. I really love this event. I am glad we went back for another round. We were able to see two washing well wench shows with Pearl and Izzy. Those two girls are so sweet, and they remembered us. I wish them the best of luck, because they really do a great job. The particular photo is of umbrella's. I saw a lot of people carrying these around, to keep the sun off. I think they are so beautiful, and that this made a great shot. I also think it captured the feeling of this past Sunday. Goodbye Pittsburgh Ren Fest see you next September.

33/365

Today I am in Erie. My hometown. For a long while Pittsburgh became my home. I would go up to Erie, PA and feel as though I didn't belong. This is a really awful feeling actually. I kept trying to find my love for this small city ignite my heart once again. I would revisit my favorate spots from my youth. All that would come from this is vanishing memories. I am only 29 years old, and it doesn't feel like home should be fading, it should be bold in the pocket of my t-shirt. The boldness should pulse in synch with the rythem of my heart.

However, in July this began to change, the rythem was crying out to me, in memories and thoughts. My father began reaching out to visit more, he even brought my nephews down to Pittsburgh, PA. The visits made me smile, they made me remember how important people are in your lives. How important it is to treat them right and always show your love for them, even when you are angry. This little revelation blew up my brain. I began trying to plan as much time as I could up in Erie.

Two weekends out of the month of September, I went home. I began to remember why I loved Erie, not for the location, but because the people I loved, and loved me lived there. I have started to form a good realtionship with my brother. We actually chat, and try and talk to each other once a week on the phone. We have never done this. I think we both woke up recently to life, and all we have is our father and each other. I love my brother, and I hope to spend more time with him.

Also, he has this little boy David, who I love a lot. I want to spend more time with him. I want to spend more time with my friends here in Pittsburgh too. I don't want to be disolved in ordinary useless things like work, reading books, and watching movies.

Things are begining to change, and for the better. Oh yeah this photo is of one of my favorite places to eat, Pufferbelly's. This is an old fire station, it has neat artifacts and the food and atmosphere is great. I used to eat here once a month with my families for their Sunday Brunches.

32/365

This is David, the coolest little kid I know. He is really starting to grow on me. He is always talking and asking questions. I just can't get over how good of a little kid he is. I wish I was able to spend more time with him, I really do.

31/365

My Uncle Frank came down to Pittsburgh, PA to visit. He spend the night. We went to the local pub, smoked a cigar, and had a few drinks. Being around family is great, I wish I lived back in Erie, PA a lot more lately. I miss my dad and my brother a lot.

Another figure from the series. I think so far this guy has the most animation. I enjoy looking at him, even though he looks so sad he is so cute. I forgot to grab one of the figures on my way out the door to work yesterday. So I will subsitute him for whatever I was going to photograph for today. He is truely awesome.

Every year i like to go to a baseball game. I love the company, the city vista's, and sometimes even the game. However, I normally do not even pay attenshion. We had the top row seats, and this is still the view we had. There isn't a bad seat in this park. I am glad PNC park is here in my city. I just hope the pirates start doing better in the future.

Hersey Park, I have never been to this place. I have driven by it many times when I lived out in Annville, PA. Quite a different lifestyle out there for me then. A very different life indeed out there, overall. Well enough reflecting on old times...This coffee mug has been sitting on the vacant house next to me for about a month now. About as long as I have been doing this project. I thought it was something to be shared with my 365 day project. Due to sooner than later it will no longer be sitting there.

This was my last day in West Virgina, we shot, qualified, drank some beer, and headed back to pittsburgh, to finish the day at drill. The sunrise was beautiful, and it wasn't foggy this morning. The streak of pink made me smile which you can see with this frame. I hope in the next few weeks I can head down to The New River Gorge to see the suspension bridge, with the tree's changing color.

West Virgina is a different planet compared to pittsburgh. There was a small restraunt located at this camp. The restraunt was called Joe's Canteen and was pretty nice, and funny. The food was ok, and darn cheap. I had a pizza sub, and it was just enough food to make it till about 7PM when I was straving.

I had to go away for the Army for three days to Camp Dawson, West Virgina. I had to shoot and qualify with my riffle. I did just awful, however better than I ever had. The scenery is just beautiful. The camera just doesn't do it any justice. The leaves are beginning to change, and it is beautiful.

Film: Pistil

This morning was a little insane, I was suppose to be at the gym at 7 AM, didn't wake up till 640. I took a shower because I was sticky and gross during the little bit of sleep I got; I felt awful. When I was gathering my things, I couldn't find my antibiotics or my wallet. I spent an hour looking for them, they were both in the hidden pockets of my backpack, crazy. So instead of the gym this morning, I asked my friend if she wanted to get coffee and talk, so we went to Jeet grabbed a cup of coffee and returned to the hospital. While there a bread delivery was made, and it caught my eye. This would be a perfect shot, then what film and lens to use was my second thought. I couldn't make up my mind, so I just shook the camera to get a random setting. That random setting used the John S lens and pistil film.

Remember the old apple logo? I was walking to work and people had put out their trash early I guess and this is what I stumbled upon. I have recently converted everything over to apple, and do not use windows except for at work. I do not really have a choice either though. I thought it was cool to capture this and share with my 365 project.

Isaac doesn't really like people that are shorter than five feet. Isaac was very well behaved with my newphew. What a riot to see them interact. I am glad we are able to leave the dogs for a few hours at my brothers house and they do not act out and behave themselves. I love the dogs, and again it was a great weekend seeing everyone.

I went home to visit my newphew and brother over the weekend. Kids have the greatest toys! These are marvel action figures that my newphew was playing with. I really wish I would of had my macro lens with me to take more detailed shots of these little figures. My brother told me he got them at Walmart. I had a great weekend, and so did everyone else.

I've made it past the two week mark of this project. To make something apart of the daily routine you need to do it everyday for at least two weeks, and hopefully it sticks, right? I am hoping it sticks. This project has been really fun, so far. Today I walked down Penn Ave, instead of through the alley, it was just beautiful this morning and changing up your routine a little bit is a good thing. On this short little journey I pass the bell tower of the Allegheny cemetery. This morning it looked really pretty, more than normal so I decided to take a shot of it.

I had to run to oakland a neighborhood in Pittsburgh for work today. The place I work for moved from Oakland to Lawrenceville. The building in Oakland is being torn down, I think it is neat to see the different stages of the take down. Hopefully there will be a reason to run over their next Thursday to document the progress of this take down.

I have gained some weight, I know it is my own fault and i have been taking it easy at the gym, I need to improve this. When I was lifting a worker at the gym and a good friend told me to ask her everyday if she did an hour of cardio everyday, she too is getting fat. So I said why don't you come in an 1/2 early and shower here, and we can get that hour in together. I hate going to the gym in the morning but if someone is willing to met me then well I am more than happy to get over my little hate. Because working out with someone else is great. This photo is of the Rangos Research Building at dusk outside of the gym enterance.

Last week I came accross a box of stuff I hadn't opened or had been packed away, one of the things Justin and I are trying to do is get rid of stuff, now we have the best intenshions but it doesn't always work out. I have also noticed that when we get rid of old clothing and what not, within a month we seem to have about the same we orginally had from sales, people giving us stuff, and what not. So this girl figure has 9 eyes, and is apart of the tim burton Tortured Series.

Today is labor day, I woke up at 0400 and thought to myself "crap I have to work soon", then it dawn on me that it is labor day, No work for me!

But we did we get up early and watched the sunrise from the duquane incline, also recommend going up there to photograph!

I spent the rest of the day using my lens's and taking a crap load of photos, and think i may go dahntahn and have some fun with the wide angle.

13/365

I couldn't decide which one to use, these are the two funniest ladies I have ever seen! They are the washing wenches ad the Pittsburgh Ren fest. WE took a lot of photos and spent a lot of time shooting the wind and talking about our last year. They remembered us from last year, and I can't wait to go back and shoot them at the end of the month, I wish my dad would come down to the ren festival, we would have one hell of a good time!

I had today off, and it is friday! Paige and I started the morning off at the Gym, doing the jaggoff work out of wall ball squats, suicide runs, insane abs, and a couple crazy arm exercises. I was glad to be able to take my time at the gym and really get in a good work out. I am going to fill it tomorrow.

Now, to a great day of adventures!

Happy Friday!

Thursday is a really great farmer's market, near the house! I got so much wonderful stuff dirt cheap! I have been really trying to eat a little better, and not go out to dinner so much. It has been really taxin' on the wallet for myself and Justin. So we have been taking part in the local farmer's market every week for the last 3, and have only been going out 2 nights a week. Which is better than every night!

9/365 No Innocent Victim

Lens: John S
Flash: Off
Film: Ina's 1969

Growing up I really got into listening to metal and hardcore music. One of the first Hardcore Bands I saw live was No Innocent Victim, the are christian, had a heavy cheese sounds, and I was hooked. I love this band. The shirt I grabed to wear last night was this shirt, and it brought back some memories. I uploaded their stuff from our server onto my Iphone so I could spend the day listening. This shirt and I have been through a lot. When I first arrived at Ft. Jackson, SC for basic training, they lost our bags, so litterly for 4 days I had the same pair of clothes to wear. This shirt was the shirt I had. FLESH AND BLOOD WE DON'T FIGHT.
